First we will run a viral email & social media (online) campaign to coalesce broad support and raise a war chest of $2 million+ to promote holding a People’s ConCon.

Second, we will draft high profile people from both parties and all walks of life to conduct an Extraordinary Gathering.  This will be a Town Meeting (or series of them) devoted to promoting a People’s Constitutional Convention and answering the public’s common sense questions.  Think people like:  Mario Cuomo, Rudy Guilianni, Tom Golisano, Ed Koch, Caroline Kennedy, Harold Ford Jr.  Big names.  Leaders who rarely agree — but agree on this.  This will be a major national media event and generate widespread support (and opposition).

Third, we will film the Extraordinary Gathering and slice and dice into several TV and radio commercials, to be used as required to dramatize our major points in our advertising campaign.

It’s a simple plan.  And it will work.  We will win our opportunity to vote (November 2011) on holding a People’s Convention in 2013.  That’s six years earlier than if we wait until our constitutionally-appointed year to decide (2017 with a convention held in 2019).  Multiply six years times the current dysfunction and agony and you will immediately see why this cause is so important!
